Soak raisins in 1/2 cup boiling water
In a double boiler combine rice and 2 cups milk. Cook over boiling water until rice is
tender and most of the water has evaporated, about 45 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Stir in butter.
Drain raisins and add to rice mixture.
In a bowl beat eggs. Add sugar, vanilla, salt, and remaining milk and mix well. Stir into
